Classic & vintage car key service

How I approach it

Fix the problem, not just the symptom.

Good locksmith work starts with identifying what is actually wrong and choosing the simplest durable solution.

Preserve the car, not just the key

With a classic vehicle, keeping original hardware working often matters. I approach the lock and key as part of the car rather than treating it like disposable hardware.

Lost keys are not necessarily the end of the road

Depending on the vehicle and lock condition, a key can often be originated from the lock or code information even when no usable original remains.

Tell me what you have

The year, make, model and photos of the locks or any existing keys help determine what blanks and tools the job will require.

FAQ

Questions customers ask

If your situation is different, call or text me. A photo often answers a question faster than a long description.

Can you make a key without an original?

Often, yes. The method depends on the lock design, available codes and condition of the hardware.

Do you stock every vintage blank?

No one realistically stocks every historic blank. I keep a useful range and can identify or source many others when the job is planned ahead.

Can you repair the original lock instead of replacing it?

Sometimes. Preserving original hardware is often worth exploring on a classic car.
